Midget level program for 2010/2011

The following is information for the midget program for the 2010/2011 season.
- Those participating in the EYHA pre-season Midget program (which starts October 20th) from October through the end of HS tryouts will receive two practices during the week and a combination of scrimmages and/or skills clinics on the weekends. Please check the web site frequently for updated information.
- The registration period for the full season team will be open until the last day of HS tryouts at EHS. All players wishing to play EYHA Midgets and not making the HS team have 24 hours from the time of notice of the roster to enroll in EYHA. No late registrants will be accepted.
- After the HS tryout process is complete and the registration period is closed, the regular season Midget team(s) will be established and games will be played against other Vermont organizations.
- All players not attempting to tryout for their HS team or without conflicts with other Fall sports teams may join both programs and begin play in mid-October.
- EYHA receives area ice times that vary week to week, however we will make every attempt to keep the weekly schedule as consistent as possible without negatively impacting the other teams. The order of scheduling priority will be: day of week, time of day, and lastly venue. This should allow for a more predictable schedule for those players to manage work and other obligations around.
- Pricing and Fee schedule:
- Pre-season
All players will be required to register with USA Hockey and pay for the costs of the events up to the High School tryouts which includes two practices during the week, and two scrimmages per weekend for a three week period.
- Regular Season
Travel fees would be assessed for those players starting or remaining for the full season which will comprise of an approximate 10 week session with 18-20 games, plus the state tournament. An optional in-or-post season tournament will be allowed but not priced into the fee (paid for separately by team).
Pre-season only
$100 EYHA pre-season + required USA Hockey ($32) registration for all that play in the three week session.
TOTAL COST $132
Regular Season only
$235 EYHA Registration + USA Hockey ($32) due NLT 24 hours after EHS tryout announcements plus $180 travel fee later in the season. TOTAL COST $447
Both Sessions
$235 EYHA Registration + USA Hockey ($32) due now plus $280 travel fees (includes pre-season).
TOTAL COST $547
Registration for the Pre-season only must be made online by 10/9/2009 - for Regular Season only must be made NO LATER THAN 24 hours from the time of notice of the high school roster at www.essexyouthhockey.org No late registrants will be accepted.
