From Williston Rd. Hotels to University of Vermont Gutterson Field House

Take a Right from Sheraton, Holiday Inn, take a Left from Clarion Inn and Comfort Inn and get on Williston Rd. From the Holiday Inn go straight on Williston Rd. for .5 mile. (Get in the right lane as you approach the Sheraton.) You CANNOT make a left turn from Williston Rd to the UVM Gutterson Field house which is the left side of Williston Rd as you head west. So take a Right at the sign indicating East Ave and Hospital and then take IMMEDIATE left around jug handle or the turn-around which brings you back over Williston Rd on to Spear St. You will see the Gutterson Field House / Patrick Gymnasium complex about 500 ft past Williston Rd on your right hand side. Front door to the Field house will likely be locked so use side door to right of front doors as you are looking at the field house.

Short Driving Instructions from Other Directions

From I-89:
I-89 north or south to Rt-2 west (exit 14). West on Rt-2 to East Ave. Turn right onto East Ave. As soon as you have turned right exiting Rt-2 get to the left lane. You will be circling back immediately to cross Rt-2 over to Spear St. Now you've corssed Rt-2 and are on Spear St. headed south. Take the first right turn to arena.

Detailed Driving Instructions
Referenced to Interstate 89 in VT:

Use exit #14W, Burlington. (If traveling southbound, it is a curving, merging exit onto Rt. 2 westbound. If traveling northbound, it is a cloverleaf which merges with Rt. 2 westbound.)

Once on Rt. 2 westbound, you need to stay in the right lane. Continue through one set of traffic lights (Staples Plaza is on the left) and as you approach the next set of traffic lights bear right onto East Avenue. (You actually need to be turning left at these lights, but no left turn is allowed.) As soon as you have beared right exiting Rt. 2 get to the left lane. You will be circling back imediately to cross Rt. 2 over to Spear Street. When you have navigated this half circle, you need to end up in the second lane from the right. (That is, East Avenue ends at this traffic light with two leftmost lanes as left turn only, rightmost lane is right turn only, and second to right lane goes straight across to Spear St)

Now you've crossed Rt. 2 and are on Spear Street headed south.Take the first right turn. University dormitories will be on your right and as you go up the hill you will see Gutterson Field House to the left. Patrick Gymnasium is at the top of the hill.

Take the last left turn on this road (towards the "Gut") and park as close as you can. Facing the front of the Gut, walk down the right hand side of the building and enter at the North entrance. There is also some limited parking on this side of the building. Once inside you should see signs for visitors lockers.

As an additional reference, if you are driving on Rt. 2 Eastbound from Burlington, you can turn directly right onto Spear Street (first set of lights after South Prospect Street) and follow the directions accordingly.
